How many different powertrains are available?

Power is a major factor in any muscle car, and the Challenger refuses to back down from other cars in its segment and comes out swinging with a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. With that just being a standard engine you know that the other engines are going to impress even more, and that can be seen with the 5.7-liter V8 engine that can be found in the R/T and T/A trims. The six-speed manual transmission creates 375 horsepower, and the eight-speed automatic transmission option has 372 horsepower. The next engine option is the 6.4-liter V8, available with the T/a 392, SRT 392, and R/T Scat Pack. Specific to the SRT Hellcat is the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, creating a mind-boggling 707 horsepower. The last engine option is available with the newest and limited trim, the SRT Demon. This engine is the same as the SRT Hellcat, but you can add different fuel types to make this engine create over 840 horsepower.

What are some of the trims offered with the Challenger?

There are multiple different trims available with the 2018 Challenger, and the first of which is the Challenger SXT, the base trim. Offered with the SXT is dual-zone automatic climate control, heated mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, a six-speaker sound system, and a rearview camera. A more midrange trim is the Challenger SRT 392, which gives you configurable driving modes, navigation, an 18-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, adaptive suspension dampers, xenon headlights, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and leather upholstery. The new, and limited trim, the SRT Demon gives you street-legal drag slicks, an adaptive suspension with a drag mode, numerous cooling systems, a trans brake, no rear seats, no front passenger seat, and no sound insulation. That makes the SRT Demon the perfect drag racing muscle car on the market.

What are some of the options for safety features in the Challenger?

Safety may not be the first thing you look for in a muscle car, but whether safety is your number one priority or fifth down on the list, Dodge has you covered. A backup camera and blind-spot warning are just a few of the different features available for you to choose from and are available to keep you as safe as possible in your retro looking muscle car. A few other options include rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, rear parking sensors, fog lights, and a limited-slip differential.
